“Jackkssoonnn!!!” - I can always hear his mama’s voice when I say, Jackson. This wild, amazing, loves to get dirty little boy is always full of life. I mean FULL OF LIFE - in the best way possible. When it was coming up for his 3rd birthday, his mom sent me a message about maybe a dirt + dump trucks session since he could show off his personality and just let him play. I was so excited to do something outside and just follow him around while he was in his own little world. He also gave us the best smiles ever whenever his papaw Jack was there - I joked that he needed to be my assistant several times but Jackson didn’t play around when Papaw said “give me that smile!”. His face quickly lit up.

For this 3rd birthday session, we went to Jackson’s aunt Sarah’s house - the perfect location because they had a full set up with sand and dirt at the back of the house and I simply followed him around while he got down and dirty with his dump trucks and excavators! Mama also had his dad’s trucks there - the same trucks he played with when he was Jackson’s age.

This is what thinking outside of the box is- don’t think you have to only have photos done for “the smiles” and “poses.” Let’s do something to let the true personalities of your little ones shine!!!
